The second round of American Idol Season 21 auditions will air on ABC this Sunday, February 26 at 8:00 p.m. ET. The show will feature 14 singers participating in the famous music challenge before judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie. Trey Lemley (stage name Trey Louis) is a famous singer from Santa Fe, Texas. He started performing and creating videos of himself at work at the Mattress Firm, one of which went viral on TikTok and caught the attention of an American Idol director.
American Idol contestant Trey Louis was the victim of the Sante Fe High School massacre.
Trey Louis is a Dallas Cowboys fan who graduated from Santa Fe High School in 2019. He often shares his performance videos on social media and some of them have become popular, like such as You should definitely exit and Shattered Halos. He survived the attack at Sante Fe High School on May 18, 2018 and was saved by a student he did not know at the time, Christian Riley Garcia.
In an Instagram post six days after the incident, he revealed that he had been hiding in a closet after the defendant opened fire in his art class. Christian instructs him to run out of the supply cabinet while he is in charge of keeping the door open. Trey finds out after walking out the back gate of the school that he is the only one in the class to successfully escape. Many of his instructors died that day, including Christian Riley Garcia. In the article he stated:
“It’s true. I’ll never be the same again. No one in art class will ever be the same again, and these instructors will never be the same… This just makes us stronger. stronger and nothing can stop the strength of a mighty hero.” collective family.”
Ten people died as a result of the tragic event. Trey now wants to present her community in a good way, almost five years after the event. In an interview with ABC13, he said:
“It’s a nice little community that had a terrible accident.”
Trey’s mother, Laurie, also said in the interview that she realized that God had a purpose to save him in 2018 and that it was to do something positive for their community. He has more than 1,150,000 fans on TikTok. Louis also sang “Stone” by Whiskey Myers in memory of his late friend Chris Stone, who was killed in the attack.

Ryan Seacrest hosts the 21st season of American Idol, as judged by Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie. To qualify for the Hollywood Week Challenge, contestants auditioned in Las Vegas, New Orleans, and Nashville. Diamond ticket holders will be able to skip the first round of the tournament and pick their companion duo ahead of everyone else. The winner of the music challenge will receive the title of “American Idol” and cash prizes after many battles on different themes and stages.
