What Happened To Libra Thompson After Big Brother Season 10?

Libra Thompson was one of the most influential Big Brother season 10 houseguests, and she’s done a lot since competing on the show in 2008. Her installment is now on Netflix, and newcomers to the series are bound to invest themselves in the Rice University graduate’s intense gameplay and robust backbone. Libra was known to stand her ground against the season’s argumentative houseguests, and orchestrated the first four evictions before being evicted herself. Although she has moved on, her strength is still visible, based on glimpses of her 2022 life.

Libra’s LinkedIn profile highlights an impressive resume. After her season aired, she left her Human Resources job, and became a franchise owner at Just Between Friends Franchise System, Inc. In 2013, she underwent a career change, and became a teacher. Coincidentally, Dan Gheesling, the winner, was a teacher, too. As of 2022, Big Brother alum Libra teaches full-time in the Conroe Independent School District. In her profile, she wrote, “Luck is when preparation meets opportunity!!” As stated on the show, she graduated magna cum laude from Rice University in 2000. In 2016, she earned her Master’s at Lamar University. She is also a devoted volunteer for the National Charity League and Junior League of The Woodlands, Inc.

Libra Thompson Enjoyed Her Big Brother Stint

Many Big Brother 10 fans consider Libra’s installment the best season. Although she never appeared on the show again, she is open about the experience, and communicates with fans via her Libra Twitter account. At that platform, when asked why she does not discuss the show, she said that participating in Big Brother was a great opportunity, but shared that she’s in a new phase of her life, and loves spending time with her nearest and dearest. She also expressed her gratitude for the experience, but emphasized that it does not define her. Others from her cast, including Memphis Garrett, played in the All-Star season in 2020.

Family’s important to Libra, who is now 46 years of age. Her children, who were only toddlers when she appeared on the series, are now grown up, and attending college. She is also still married to her husband, who can be seen in her introduction package during the Big Brother 10 premiere. Overall, fans will be disappointed to know that Libra has no plans to appear in another BB installment, but pleased to know that the former houseguest is living a very wonderful life. Other houseguests from her season appear to have moved on as well. Dan competed again in 2012.

Libra placed ninth out of thirteen houseguests, and was the first member of the jury. Her most memorable moment was her role in the infamous “Keesha’s Birthday” fight. During the argument, she broke the awkward silence with a sheepish question, “Anybody want cake?,” which is now a common catchphrase among Big Brother fans. In the most recent season, the houseguests reenacted the fight, and eventual winner Taylor Hale recited Libra’s iconic line. Although her reality career was brief, it’s clear that her influence will be long-lasting.
