Google’s Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are heavily discounted on Black Friday, but buyers can save even more with exchange deals. Some manufacturers and retailers offer buyers the option of exchanging their old device for a new one. At the time of purchase, they can choose from a list of eligible devices and see an estimate of what they would get if they exchanged the selected device.
When buyers choose to exchange phones, they need to prepare their old phone for a new one by wiping data, disconnecting from the network operator, and factory resetting the device. Once everything is done, the buyer’s old mobile phone must be sent to the provided address within the specified time. Once the device is received and inspected, the buyer will receive a refund within a few days.
Google’s Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro have been on sale for almost a week now. The Pixel 7 costs $499, while the Pixel 7 Pro launched at $150. Google allows buyers to trade in iPhones (from iPhone 6 to iPhone 13 Pro Max) and choose from Samsung phones, as well as phones from Motorola, OnePlus and even LG, like the LG Wing. Those with older Pixel smartphones can also exchange them for their old phones. Buyers can get up to $900 in trade-in value if the phone works, and up to $2.50 in trade-in value for older models in poor condition.
Exchange value subject to change
Google has added a warning that this value may change after testing the phone. Additionally, if the refund amount exceeds the price of the new Pixel phone, the excess amount will be added as an in-store credit. Best Buy also offers a trade-in service for those looking to pick up a new Pixel smartphone. However, eligible devices are limited to iPhone 12 Pro Max and below, select iPhones, Samsung Galaxy phones, and Pixel smartphones.
Buyers can get up to $750 on the iPhone 12 Pro Max, up to $530 on the Galaxy S22 Ultra, and up to $430 on the Pixel 6 Pro. On the other hand, Google is offering an exchange price of up to $650 on the iPhone 12 Pro Max, up to $900 on the Galaxy S22 Ultra, and up to $600 on the Pixel 6 Pro. Best Buy says its deal is valid through Nov. 28.
