In The Knockout Round, Kim sang Ann Peebies’ I Can’t Stand the Rain and qualified for the Top 16 – Playoffs by beating Emma Brooke, who sang I Hope, and The Marilynds, who sang Chasing Cars.
In the Top 16 round, Kim Cruise sang Aretha Franklin’s classic I Never Loved a Man (The Way I Love You) and moved on to the next round because she was chosen by John Legend.
