The ”wee” teenager, Sophie, is the daughter of their “best friends” Jamie and Rebecca Walker, and the bumper brood has decided to help as much as possible in order to raise money for her treatment overseas.

According to Sophie’s mum, Rebecca, her child has ”been battling Wilms tumour since she was ten-years-old”.

Now aged 16, she’s ”encountered a series of unfortunate events with her treatments”, and sadly, the NHS have insisted there’s not ”much hope”, the mum bravely opened up on GoFundMe, where you can donate here.

After desperate searches, the family has reached out to a number of clinics around the world, and they were recently told ”of a very promising procedure that would still be curative for Sophie”.

Following the news, the Radfords rallied together, coming up with ways to fundraise cash – whether that’s 11-year-old Casper selling his toys or doing a car boot sale with items from their ten-bed Lancashire-based property.

“It’s definitely been nice that all of the kids can get involved to help Sophie,” mum Sue said last night on the Channel 5 hit series, 22 Kids And Counting.

“I think that’s the thing with having a big family is that everybody just wants to get involved and help others.”

“Yes, from the older ones to the younger ones, every one of them just wants to help out,” Noel added.

Since being aired, the episode has pulled ”on the heart strings”, leaving fans of the families heartbroken.

As well as thousands racing to chime in with donations as much as they could, dozens praised the bumper brood for standing up and helping their close friends.

One fan commented on their Instagram post, writing: ”Beautiful family, always willing to help others.”

Another was moved to tears, writing: ”Been following Sophie’s journey, such a beautiful young lady.”

”Well done Casper, I hope Sophie gets all the money she needs,” someone else penned.

”Such caring, compassionate children,” a fourth praised the kids.

”You are a true inspiration Sophie. The whole of Scotland are behind you & with you all the way. You can kick cancers butt,” a supporter wrote.

”Just watched 22 kids and Counting, hope this works for you,” someone else shared a kind-hearted message.

Following the devastating news, the Radfords have also shared a link to the GoFundMe page on their Instagram story.

Sophie has to undergo treatment which includes getting Vitamin C through a canula twice a week.

The benefits of this procedure for cancer patients are still not 100 per cent proven – but her parents have openly praised its effects.

The Walkers, who are based in Edinburgh and have nine children, have been good friends with the bumper brood for quite some time, as they bond over having a big family.
