Every Card In Pokémon TCG’s Silver Tempest Expansion

The Pokémon Trading Card Game is releasing the Silver Tempest expansion in November, and it features one of the largest card set lists out of any Generation 8 TCG set. In August, Nintendo confirmed that the tabletop game would be getting one final Pokémon Sword and Shield TCG set in November, called Silver Tempest. The Winter collection’s entire setlist has been revealed weeks before its release, and it includes many Secret Rare cards.

After months of anticipation, Silver Tempest is finally launching in stores on November 11 and features a total of 246 new cards. While the majority of the expansion is a mix of collectibles from the Japanese Incandescent Arcana and Paradigm Trigger sets, the final Sword and Shield collection also has a massive Trainer Gallery subset that features unreleased cards from 2021. Below is the complete setlist of every card that players will be able to pull from the Pokémon Silver Tempest TCG expansion.

Pokémon TCG Silver Tempest Main Setlist

Because Silver Tempest is the final mainline Sword and Shield expansion, the set is packed with a total of 169 cards in its main setlist. The November collection has a mix of V, VMAX and VSTAR Pokémon from every generation. However, a standout in the Silver Tempest expansion is the Lugia V, which is illustrated by prolific Game Freak artist Mitsuhiro Arita. The veteran creator was responsible for the iconic Base Set Charizard card, and has made his return with by drawing one of Lugia’s best cards in years. The expansion also includes the debut of Titan Legendary Regieleki as a VMAX variant, as well as Serperior as a VSTAR card. Fans of the Pokémon Sword and Shield Shiny Radiant cards are in luck, as the set features the new Radiant Alakazam and Radiant Jirachi cards. Similar to May’s Pokémon Astral Radiance TCG expansion, Silver Tempest is going to be split up into three separate setlist categories. The expansion’s second setlist consists of 46 Secret Rares, and has a mix of Full Art, Rainbow, and Gold collectibles. What will really make the final Sword and Shield expansion exciting for collectors, though, is that it’s filled to the brim with Alternate Art cards. The Alternate Art Unknown V and Alternate Art Lugia V cards in particular have incredibly unique artwork that many fans will be scrambling to collect. Pokemon Silver Tempest TCG Trainer Gallery Cards

The third and final setlist of Silver Tempest is the Trainer Gallery subset, which has a staggering total of 30 cards for fans to collect. The most anticipated card in the entire subset though is the “Friends in Galar” Trainer card. The rare holographic features the Sword and Shield protagonist’s hanging out with Marnie, Bede, and Hop. The Secret Rare was originally supposed to debut in February’s Pokémon Brilliant Stars TCG expansion, but instead North American players have had to wait over half a year for it to get an English release. The Trainer Gallery is also loaded with additional Alternate Art cards, such as the Rayquaza VMAX from the Japanese VMAX Climax set, as well as the Alternate Art Blaziken V. Although Silver Tempest has been confirmed to be the final Gen 8 expansion, Nintendo is actually releasing a special Pokémon Sword and Shield Crown Zenith TCG set next year. However, players looking to wrap up their Galar era Pokémon card collection can look forward to Silver Tempest, as it features many unreleased Japanese cards from the mainline expansion’s that had not previously made it overseas. The Pokémon Trading Card Game is officially launching its Gen 9 series in January 2023, with the release of the Pokémon Scarlet EX and Violet EX expansion in Japan.
