What you can collect depends on your Engraver level and your character level. Here’s a glimpse of the level you’ll need to collect different forms of dust:
- Levels 1-25: Pewter
- Levels 26-50: Copper
- Champion Level 10-60: Silver
- Level 70-140 Champion: Electro
- Champion Level 150-160: Platinum
Find a jewelry making station
With plenty of powder in your inventory, you’re ready to start crafting. Go to the nearest jewelry crafting station, which you’ll find in most major cities, and interact with it to open its menu. You’ll immediately notice several options that allow you to do much more than just create new items. In fact, it will look incredibly familiar to anyone who has dabbled in any other form of brewing.

Refine
Here you will take all of that powder and combine it into one ounce, a refined component that is used for crafting. You’ll need a large amount of dust to refine successfully, so make sure you’ve garnered plenty of points or traded with a friend for all the necessary resources.
Creation
With your ounces in hand, you’re ready to make some small jewelry. jewelry making in THAT limits you to rings and necklaces only. However, you can make things a bit more interesting by choosing the materials and features you want to use to craft your new item. New materials will be unlocked as you level up, and traits can be learned using the Research option in the crafting menu.
deconstruct
During his time with THAT, you will end up filling your inventory with items you no longer need. Instead of selling them, consider deconstructing them. This will destroy the item and give you new materials in the process. The higher your level and the more powerful the item, the better materials you will harvest. If you’re not excited to search for important components to craft and upgrade, deconstruction will quickly become your best friend.
One note: only jewels picked up after the release of Summerset can be deconstructed. It’s not a huge problem, but if you’re wondering why you keep having problems when trying to deconstruct a particular piece of jewelry, this is probably the culprit.
Improvement
If you’re already a fan of your rings or necklaces and don’t need to create new ones, crafting stations give you the chance to improve their rarity. This means that you can keep all of its useful features and take them up a notch. These are the items, called bars or skins, that you need to get to the next level:
- Good: Terne
- Cap: Iridium
- epic: zircon
- Legendary: Chrome
In addition to deconstructing equipment, you can also obtain these items by purifying dust. Every time you refine materials, there is a chance to get a grain, which can then be combined and made into a coating.
Investigation
Take a junk item and learn the associated trait. This will allow you to apply the trait to any jewelry you make in the future, as long as you have the necessary materials, like Cobalt for Arcane or Antimony for Healthy. The full list of traits can be found in-game, but here are some of our favourites:
- Bloodthirsty (Killing Stone) – Increased damage against enemies with low health.
- Arcane (Cobalt): Increased maximum magic.
- Swift (Golden Wax): Increased movement speed while unmounted.
- Robust (Zinc): Greater maximum durability.
- Triune (Dawn-Prism): Increased health, stamina, and magic.

Quickly master ESO jewelry making
There is no surefire way to level up quickly, but most players tend to have good luck with the following methods:
- Deconstruction – One of the easiest ways to level up is to deconstruct unwanted items. This not only gives a lot of XP, but also doesn’t require a lot of planning. Just take a look at your inventory, select the jewels you don’t need and with one click you will have deconstructed them. Other activities, such as crafting, refining, or upgrading, require various resources and are generally a slower way to level up. The higher the rarity of the jewels, the faster you will level up by deconstructing them.
- Jewelry Manufacturing Records: Not larger a source of XP, but it also gives you a good amount of gold and crafting materials. You’ll need to get certified first (look for a Felarian in Alinor), but then you’ll be able to solve files every day by going to the equipment file board in most cities.
