A self-proclaimed “fun, outgoing, optimistic, north Texas dancer, Miss Tarrant County, Ellie Breaux can now also add the title “Miss Texas 2023” to her introduction.

Meet Ellie Breaux, Miss Texas 2023
So, Ellie Breaux went in the said competition as a recent graduate of the University of North Texas with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. She represented Miss Tarrant County. And finally, from the contest held at the Charles W. Eisemann Center for Performing Arts in Richardson, Texas, she won a $20,000 college scholarship, which she said will help pay off some of her student loans. She also seemed hopeful of getting a Master’s degree in the future.
After the win, Ellie also revealed that she was not aware she was competing for Miss Texas or ultimately America when she started competing as a freshman in college. But, because she received so many opportunities, after her first win, she decided to return to compete and continue promoting her story and community service.
So now, the next step for her would be to go on to represent Texas at the Miss America pageant. In the meantime, she said, she is constantly having to look at herself in the mirror to be sure she not dreaming.
In addition to taking the “Miss Texas 2023” title home, Ellie also won an evening gown and talent during preliminary competitions. She performed a dance and rhythmic gymnasts routine to Lady Gaga’s Top Gun: Maverick anthem “Hold My Hand.”

Ellie Breaux is one proud daughter of a Houston police officer dad. Mostly because of this, her goal for the children of the nation has been to perceive police officers as heroes. Not just her dad is a police officer, but her uncle and cousin are also police officers. And so, coming from a family of law enforcement, she has always “really” tried to bridge the gap that the miscommunication between police officers and their communities has brought about.
Ellie always has had this immense gratitude and heartfelt appreciation for her family. Their bond in fact even grew stronger during her journey to Miss Texas. Through the highs and lows, they have always been her rock, lifting her up and cheering her on, Ellie said. Not long ago, on her social media page, Ellie also thanked her mom and dad for purchasing an ad page that was later featured in the Miss Texas Competition magazine.
Last year, Ellie actually wrote an essay about her “inspiring” father and won the “Men of Texas” scholarship award on Father’s Day.
Ellie has not yet told us about her father Dudley Peter Breaux Jr. But, we know that he and his wife Sue Breaux are Wisconsin natives and parents of three children: Ellie, Edyn (@embreaux0), and Gabriel (on IG @gtm.gabe).
Edyn is a Ridge Point High School student waiting to graduate in 2024. She plays in the college’s girls’ varsity basketball team.

She was introduced to so many opportunities that she had hoped to pursue, such as modeling for Terry Costa and Sherri Hill, and connecting with various law enforcement agencies, non-profit organizations, rotary clubs, and chambers of commerce. And most lately, she was given a proclamation from Mayor Mizani and the Keller City Council.
In May 2019, Ellie graduated from Ridge Point High School. Celebrating the milestone, she talked about on social media how it took her long journey to get here but it was all worth it. Later, she got her bachelor’s degree in marketing with a focus on fashion design at the University of North Texas.
