They spent a short time in Fort Bliss, El Paso, TX, then also moved to Logan, UT and Ithaca, NY.

Although Brenda’s family liked Allen at first, LaRae regretted her daughter marrying into the Lafferty family. Larae Wright said. “We just had no idea that the situation for the Lafferty family was so bad. It was a real shock to learn some of this stuff.”
