Season 3 of Blood & Water, the long-awaited sequel to the South African crime thriller series, will premiere on Netflix on Friday, November 25, 2022, at 3:01 a.m. ET hours and this time the stakes are just as high around. Blood and Water follows Puleng, a teenage girl in search of her younger sister Phume, who was kidnapped by traffickers at birth.
Puleng finds out that Fikile and Phume have the same birthday after meeting him at a party. The two are also said to look similar. Soon after, he starts attending the same school as Fikile and begins to wonder if they are related. Puleng revealed that Fikile is her sister after two confusing seasons. Along with this discovery, however, are several new mysteries, which the sisters will solve together in the third season of Blood and Water.

The trailer for Season 3 of Blood and Water was released on November 9, 2022 and begins on a bleak note, with Puleng closely warning of the consequences of her decisions. As the trailer opens, one hears: “Puleng, one decision can affect your whole life.” The film then shifts to the start of a new school year at Parkhurst High School, where new alliances are formed and old ones seem to fall apart. Fikile’s mother, Nwabisa, was kidnapped by Lisbeth in Season 2, and there’s some news about that, as Fikile suspects it was the human trafficking gang that stole her when she was a child.
Because the legal authorities are not satisfactory, Fikile and Puleng decide to solve the problem on their own and go find Nwabisa on their own. The issue becomes clearer from here, and the spillover from their decision shapes the rest of the story. The official synopsis of Blood and Water Season 3 is as follows:
“As another year begins at Parkhurst, Puleng and Fiks search for lost loved ones – but their persistence could put them in danger.”
Netflix has revealed more details about the series’ final season on its YouTube channel:
“A sinister new force has invaded the lives of our Parkhurst lovers and their lives will never be the same. Friendship will be tested, love will be tested, and not everyone will survive.”
Who will appear in Blood and Water season 3?
Ama Qamata, Gail Mabalane and Getmore Sithole will reprise their roles as Puleng, Thandeka and Julius Khumalo in the upcoming installment of the crime series, while Khosi Ngema, Xolile Tshabalala and Patrick Mofokeng will return as Fikile, Nwabisa and Brian Bhele . The rest of the cast from previous Blood and Water seasons have been retained, along with some new members, though their identities and roles have yet to be announced.
The third season of Blood and Water, produced by Gambit Films, will premiere exclusively on Netflix on Friday, November 25, 2022. It will be released alongside Ghislaine Maxwell: Filthy Rich, a documentary series. New True Crime follows one of the accomplices of notorious billionaire and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
