Although dozens of games support ray tracing, it doesn’t always come in the same form. Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition only uses ray tracing, for example, while Forza Horizon 5 doesn’t have ray tracing in the main game (just in the showroom for your cars). Both are still among the best games to show off your PC, though.

Ray tracing is launching in new games and coming to old ones all the time, so we rounded up ray tracing PC games that are coming soon. Some of these titles are new releases that will include ray tracing — such as Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered — while others will receive a ray tracing update at some point (like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt).

What you need for ray tracing on PC

Ray tracing isn’t available across the board on PC, even if you’re playing a game with ray tracing support. You need an Nvidia RTX or AMD Radeon RX 6000 or AMD Radeon RX 7000 GPU with the latest graphics card driver installed.
Although ray tracing is a staple of modern GPUs, that doesn’t make it any less demanding. Nvidia offers Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) for its cards to improve performance. On the other hand, AMD has FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR), which works with both Nvidia and AMD cards. We recommend turning on either one of those, if they are available, if you want to play a game with ray tracing.
