On Tuesday, NBC aired the 14th episode of The Voice 2022 (Season 22), which featured a three-person knockout. Three participants from the same team fight each other in this round. Blake Shelton selected three candidates for the three-man knockout: Kate Kalvach, Bryce Leatherwood and Jay Allen. The coaches/judges all applauded Kate’s vocals after her performance with Justin Bieber’s Someone. Even though John Legend asked Blake to pick Kate, her coach decided to “roll the dice” and chose Bryce for the round. As a result, Kate and Jay were dropped from the 22nd season of The Voice. The coaches couldn’t let Kate off the stage after saying goodbye to Jay. Camila was about to take her back to his team when John blew the whistle and grabbed her for him. But singer Seorita didn’t give up and convinced Kate to join her team.
Camila noted that she and Kate have had a history, alluding to the time the award-winning singer swooped over a candidate on her team during the Blind Auditions. She even stopped coach Gwen Stefani from adding Kate to her team, but Blake silenced Camila and took the contestant on her team.

Kate Kalvach, The Voice 2022 contestant, has switched from Team Blake to Team Camila. The contestant is from Oklahoma City, where she is the creative director of Church of Hope Connecting. Kate in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and is married to singer/rapper Matt Kalvach, aka Kalwich. She met him at Southwest Catholic University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in music business and technology. In their spare time, the duo enjoys composing songs.
The 27-year-old contestant dedicated her performance on episode 14 of The Voice to her husband, who allegedly encouraged her to sing outside the church. Kate’s NBC profile includes additional information about the artist.
