Seeing the fire in his eyes, his wife, Molly Harper then signed him up for the show, and now he’s one of the 12 competitors on N*ked And Afraid: Last One Standing.

Molly Harper is Wes Harper’s spouse whom he married on February 25, 2012, after 14 years of friendship.
“11 years of marriage today, over 25 years of friendship. What a journey – I can’t wait to see what awaits us. Love you, Wes. Happy Anniversary,” Molly celebrated their 11th anniversary on IG.
According to Molly, Wes was an “amazing husband” with unparalleled “strength and determination.” And this couldn’t be truer. Wes really is a dogged survivor. After undergoing catheter ablation for atrial fibrillation (abnormal heart rhythm) in 2019, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2021 — which he beat the next year!
His tenancy was also the reason, Molly signed him up for the show. “Wes has always been an outdoorsy person,” Molly explained. “He loves to challenge himself on things that are just outside of his comfort zone. Marathoner, triathlete, Ironman — he accomplished all of these, so it was only logical that he do something that combined his ability to prepare for anything with his mental toughness. Being a survivalist requires all of these attributes, which is why I knew he would be great at it. He does not give up!”
Now, Wes has graced over 20 eps of N*ked And Afraid and has earned himself a spot in N*ked And Afraid: Last One Standing as well. Furthermore, the survivalist has gained a bunch of fans, both locally and internationally.
“Wes loves this. Having fans, being recognized, being asked to speak at various organizations’ meetings — it’s the notoriety that he just has never gotten before,” said Molly. “The feeling he gets from the shoutouts from fans is really hard to put into words.”

Waylon Harper: Fans of N*ked And Afraid will remember him from his time on the show’s spin-off Next Gen Survival. In season 14, ep 6, he finished a 14-day challenge of his own! The last we checked, he had just graduated from Appalachian State University and was in a relationship with Marin Rommel.
Talking a little about Molly’s ex-husband, Matt Hildebrandt is a Norristown, Pennsylvania native. He’s been inactive on his FB @matt.hildebrandt ever since 2009.
Fun Fact: When Wes first appeared on N*ked And Afraid, his kids hated it! But now, his youngest son is following in his footsteps while others are proud of their “dad’s butt on TV.”
