Vaibhavi Upadhyaya passed away in a car accident in North India on 22 May 2023 but the news was reported on 23 May 2023. Her demise news was shared by producer JD Majethia in a post on an Instagram story in which he wrote,
“Life is so unpredictable. A very fine actress, dear friend Vaibhavi Upadhyay popularly known as ‘Jasmine’ of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai passed away. She met with an accident in the north. The family will bring her to Mumbai tomorrow morning around 11 am for the last rites. RIP Vaibhavi (sic).”
Her death news has come a few days after Aditya Singh Rajput was found dead on 22 May 2023 at his apartment in Andheri, Mumbai.
Comedy show Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai’s star Rupali Ganguly shared a photo of Vaibhavi on her Instagram story in which she wrote,

How did the accident happen?
The accident happened in Banjar of Kullu on 23 May 2023. Actress Vaibhavi Upadhyay was going with her fiance in his fortuner car for a walk in the Tirthan Valley of Banjar.
Suddenly the car lost control at a turn at Sidhwa near Banjar and the actress passed away after falling down about 50 feet below the road. The vehicle fell into the ditch.
The local police received the information about the road accident and reached the spot. Police saw Vaibhavi in the car and they found her dead. Vaibhavi’s post-mortem body has been handed over to her relatives.
