Teyonah Parris and her husband James Parris have just welcomed a baby girl. Teyonah announced the news on Instagram with a snap of her prenatal journey. It has a lengthy description, which she begins by writing:
“What a terrible tornado. I have so much to say, but I’m too exhausted and disoriented to put it all right, so I’m just saying – God bless all the parents out there.”
She said she didn’t know what it was like to be a parent and that it took community and God. Along with the gifts, she expressed gratitude for the moment she held the baby and the support she received during the trip.
She went on to say:
“Thank you to our amazing nurse @midwifeangelina for bringing our newborn daughter into the world!! We started the pregnancy with the intention of having a hospital birth, but that changed late in the game for us, and I’m so glad it happened!”

Teyonah Parris testified that her whole family was present during the trip. She even commended her mother, who took care of her for several weeks, and expressed gratitude that her mother took care of her even in her old age. She concluded by praising her Instagram fans for their support and enthusiasm throughout her pregnancy. Parris also lets everyone know that her daughter is fine and that James is watching over them both:
“I hope to share more along the way, but considering how long it took me to post this, who knows!! Thank!! I admire you all!!”

Teyonah revealed that she and James had also prepared a surprise for their housemates, but it took them a while to figure out what it was:
“We made these fake scratch cards. Because people were so confused, it was the worst time and the best time. They were so focused on winning money that they completely ignored the fact that we were expecting a baby.”
