Instructions for solving a difficult problem

In the image above you can see a cat, a dog and a rabbit on a scale indicating how much each pair weighs. A cat and a rabbit weigh 10kg, a dog and a rabbit weigh 20kg, and a dog and cat weigh 24kg. Your task is to find the weight of each animal separately to find the total weight of the dog, rabbit and cat. You will have to think fast, because you only have 15 seconds, it will start running immediately.

Let G be the weight of the cat, P of the dog and C of the rabbit.

Currently:

G+C=10

C+P=20

P+G=24

C+P+G=???

Now find the value of G

G=10-C

And also with the value P

p=20-C

Now substitute in the third equation: P+G=24

(20-C) + (10-C)= 24

20+10-CC=24

20-2C=24

6=2C

3=C

The weight of the rabbit is 3 kg. Alternatively, you can plug the weight of the rabbit into the first two equations and find the weights of the cat and the dog, then use them to solve the fourth equation. Then we will have the weight of the cat 7 kg and the dog 17 kg, so we will have a total of 27 kg.

So, the total weight of a cat, a dog and a rabbit is 27 kg.
