Application for NMMS Scholarship 2023 is now open
West Bengal NMMS Scholarship 2023: The application for the National Merit Scholarship (NMMS) scholarship is already half way through. Interested candidates can apply on the official website: Scholarships.wbsed.gov.in. The Department of General Education and Literature, Ministry of Education organizes the NMMS exam for 8th grade students every year to provide scholarships for economically backward students.
Application for the West Bengal NMMS Scholarship 2023 begins on June 23, 2023 and will continue until July 25, 2023. Candidates must note that there is no requirement to submit a hard copy of the form at Directorate for School Education, Bikash Bhavan, or at the DI/S(SE) office of any district.

Who is eligible to apply for the NMMS West Bengal Scholarship 2023?
Before applying, students must check the eligibility conditions:
- Grade VIII students who score 55% or above on the Grade VII end-of-year test have the right to take the centrally sponsored NMMS exam.
- Students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya and boarding schools run by the state government or any private schools are not eligible for the scholarship.
- Students must attend government-accredited/government-supported/local agency and government-funded schools.
- Parents income must be less than Rs. 3,50,000/- (Thirty and fifty thousand Rupees) per year from all sources.
