Showtime has joined Paramount+ and is currently developing several new series and spin-offs. They want to focus on stories with intelligent characters. Emily in Paris creator Darren Star and Modern Family writer Jeffrey Richman collaborated on Uncoupled.
According to the official synopsis of the show:
“Michael’s life seemed perfect until his longtime wife unexpectedly left him after 17 years of marriage. He was faced with his dream of losing his soulmate and found himself alone. single as a gay man in his 40s.”
The show’s first season consisted of eight episodes, each lasting between 27 and 31 minutes.
