If you’re tired of the same old cooking contests, Netflix’s Pressure Cooker is the show for you. Instead of chefs whipping up culinary creations to impress a panel of celebrities, they judge each other! Yes, you heard right. After each round, the chefs rate each other’s dishes and eliminate one.
So while this is definitely an interesting topic, it also means that contestants are encouraged to not only cook to the best of their ability, but also strategize and form alliances, something Sergei wasn’t so good at. Already in the first ep, his audacity turned many of his fellow contestants away from him, even more so after he boasted that he had worked with celebrity chef Brian Malarkey.
But Sergei is not what he seems. He is also humble and thoughtful and admits that he is still working on honing some of his cooking skills. And that doesn’t just include the food itself, he’s also working on his skills in treating and managing other people.
spoiler alert: Unfortunately, Sergey’s skill was not up to par in the pressure cooker. He was eliminated in the semifinals and the last two chefs were Robbie and Mike. For the final task, they were asked to prepare a 4-course meal that told their personal stories, which Robbie ended up killing.

Career of Sergej Nikola Simonov
Sergei Nicholas Simonov has over a decade of experience in the kitchen and managing culinary staff. It was also the reason why he believed that he had an advantage over the other competitors in the pressure cooker. “I can’t feel the heat and heat from the kitchen and the line. I am one of the few who do 500 to 600 treatments a night,” he said at the time.
Returning to his career now, Sergey first entered the industry as a kitchen manager at Chipotle Mexican Grill in 2011. He worked there for almost 2 years, then joined The Lark Santa Barbara as a sous chef and continued to serve the restaurant for the past few years. next 6 years under the tutelage of Jason Paluska. “He taught me from A to Z, not just the flavor profile and the palate,” recalls Sergej.

Regarding his education, Sergey received his Bachelor of General Education from San Mateo College in 2011 and then received his AAS in Culinary Arts from Santa Barabara City College in 2013.
