“My husband died yesterday. My children lost their father. He died of a stroke while working on a cruise ship in St Kitts and never came back to us. We are heartbroken.”

As already mentioned, the magician who died of a stroke was a participant in the sixth season of the popular American talent show. Scott auditioned for a magic trick with the “levitation” technique on the first episode of Season 6 of America’s Got Talent (2011). He seems to make the woman materialize out of nowhere, powered by water and then levitate. Scott Alexander’s performance was unanimously accepted by a jury including Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel and qualified for the Vegas Round. Scott was one of three magicians performing on stage in the first episode of Vegas Road (Episode 11 of the sixth season), along with “The Fantastic Fig and the Cat” and Michael Turco.
However, Scott was the only one of the “Jury’s Favorites” to make it to the next round. Scott Alexander performed an illusion show at Vegas Road in which a woman disappeared and reappeared after walking from side to side of the ring. He made it to the quarterfinals of Season 6 after receiving unanimous support from all the judges.
Scott Alexander appeared in week 4 of the quarterfinals of America’s Got Talent season 6. Scott delivered another magical performance, causing the gospel choir to disappear and reappear in the distance. Despite receiving a standing ovation from the audience, Scott was unfortunately disqualified from the competition after his performance failed to garner enough votes.
Scott was featured on Penn & Teller: Fool Us Part 2 alongside another America’s Got Talent (Season 7) graduate, The Magic of Puck, after being dropped from AGT. After Scott Alexander passed away, Jonathan Goodwin, a former escapist and daredevil took to Twitter to express his feelings. Here’s what Goodwin said on Twitter:
