Schools closed due to rain: According to media reports, the state capital on Sunday recorded its highest single-day rainfall in 40 years. Not only Delhi-NCR but many other states including Kerala, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh also recorded heavy monsoon rains. As a result, schools in these states have been ordered to close today due to heavy rain and the safety of students, teaching and non-teaching staff.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced a public holiday for all schools today. Schools in all areas: State Government School, Private School and Semi-Government School in Delhi will be closed for public holidays today. In Noida and Gurugram also due to accumulation of water in and around schools were ordered closed to all assemblies.

Delhi: Minister Arvind Kejriwal has said that a notice has been sent to all school principals regarding the closure of schools. A circular issued by the Department of Education (DoE) said: “Due to heavy rain since Friday and the orange warning issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), all public and private schools has been ordered closed to students on July 10 (Monday). Students must be given adequate notice of the holiday in order not to go out.” Schools are closed to students, and teachers must attend class as usual.

Gurgugram: The government has announced the closure of schools due to rainstorms and flooded roads.
