Oommen Chandy was twice the Prime Minister of Kerala and leader of the National Assembly. The minister died at the age of 79.

About former CM Oommen Chandy

Oomen Chandy was a two-time Minister of Kerala elected from the Puthupally constituency from 1970 to 2021. He served as MLA for 53 years. The former CM sought cancer treatment at HCG Hospital in Bengaluru and was taken to Chinmaya Mission Hospital after he fell ill. CM’s funeral will be held in Puthupally today.
