Bachelorette star Clare Crawley and husband Ryan Dawkins are expecting first child via surrogate

Clare Crawley revealed that she and her husband Ryan Dawkins are expecting their first child together via surrogate on Wednesday.

The 42-year-old former Bachelorette announced the exciting news to her 981,000 Instagram followers by teasing that her laundry was ‘about to get a whole lot cuter in 2024!!’

‘This TRULY is what my dreams are made of! I can’t tell you how hard it has been to hold this secret in, as I’ve shared the last 10 years of my life with you all!’ she captioned the video. ‘This is one journey though that Ryan and I have been keeping close to our hearts as we navigated the uncertain world of IVF and all that comes with it up until this point.’

She continued: I can’t wait to share it all with you soon what it’s been like for us, and until then, we are so incredibly grateful to @eggwhisperer for making miracles happen! ✨’

The TV personality, who lives in Sacramento, proceeded to share that her bundle of joy would be ‘arriving via our amazing angel surrogate in January 2024.’

In the footage, the happy couple can be seen sharing a kiss after hanging up a white onesie, with the phrase ‘worth the wait’ on the front, to a clothesline in their yard.

The track, What Dreams Are Made Of, sang by Brent Morgan, played in the background.

The mom-to-be was flooded with sweet comments from other members of Bachelor Nation, including Ashley Iaconetti, Andi Dorfman, Becca Kufrin and Emily Maynard.

‘Ommmmmmmy congrats!!!! I’m so unbelievably happy for you! The fairytale has officially come true ❤️❤️,’ Dorfman wrote under the post.

While this marks her first child, Dawkins has two daughters, ages 8 and 11.

While speaking about motherhood on social media, earlier this year, she said that becoming a stepmother was ‘incredibly special to’ her.

In October, Dawkins said that his little girls were ‘completely obsessed with’ his wife.

‘They love you so much,’ he said in a video, uploaded to Crawley’s Instagram Story.

In February, Crawley responded to comments asking if she was pregnant by telling fans that it is ‘never ok’ to ask ‘what someone’s private/personal health journey.’

‘I can promise you this… I will always share what I am comfortable sharing so you do not need to ask,’ the star added.

Crawley’s announcement comes just fours months after tying the knot with her spouse.

The newlyweds went Instagram official in September 2022, then became engaged the following month.

‘If I had to do this day over every single day for the rest of my life… I wouldn’t change a thing!’ she told People.

‘Happiest day of my life hands down!’ added the hairdresser.

She was on The Bachelor in 2014 and later as ABC’s Bachelorette in 2020. The star was engaged to Dale Moss after meeting on The Bachelorette during season 16. They split in September 2021.
