Rebel Wilson surprised her followers last week when she revealed that she had secretly had a baby girl through surrogacy. The new mother posted a photo of her baby on Instagram, revealing that the child’s name is Roycie Lillian. In the photo, the baby is wearing a pink T-shirt, holding unicorn shoes and gloves. Wilson said she was “proud” to announce the birth of her first child, describing her as a “beautiful miracle”. The actress praised all those involved in the birth of her baby, especially her “beautiful surrogate”.
Rebel Wilson didn’t reveal why she chose to be a surrogate, but she did reveal her intentions and choice of surrogacy through a surrogate in an interview with People in 2019.

Rebel Wilson highlighted her fertility struggles on the May 2019 cover of People magazine, revealing that her fertility could have been better had she been healthier:
“He examined me and said, ‘You’ll do much better if you’re healthy’.”
Actress Jojo Rabbit said the idea of her future child’s demands left her sane at the time, saying:
“I was surprised. ‘Oh my God, this person is rude,’ I thought. He was right. I was carrying too much weight. It was almost as if I didn’t take care of my own needs. It’s the future child’s needs that force me to be better.”
Wilson said she lost more than 80 pounds after starting the weight loss program, adding:
“The goal is to never lose weight.” It’s just the best version of me.
The actress also has polycystic ovary syndrome, which can interfere with conception. Wilson said in an interview that if she wanted to get married, she would rather “go it alone” because of her “circadian clock”.
She talks about surrogacy and other related techniques:
“If I meet the right person, that’s great; They will match whatever happens. It’s great that this technology exists. With surrogacy and sperm donation, you have a lot of alternatives.”
The actress and comedian also admitted that she started thinking about fertility when she was 39, citing Janet Jackson’s pregnancy journey as an inspiration for her. Rebel Wilson also said at the time that the journey was difficult and that she was unsure of the end point:
“I can relate to any woman who’s been through that.” It was a whirlwind of emotions. I’m not sure how it will end. But I’m still young enough to try.”
Wilson had her first child through a surrogate about two years later. The actress said she is a “fast learner” and is “proud” to be a parent. Wilson’s girlfriend, Ramona Agruma, expressed her support for Wilson after she gave birth by commenting on his photo on Instagram.
Wilson sparked engagement rumors to Agrum earlier this year. According to Page Six, the couple got engaged last month and were seen wearing a diamond ring on their finger during George Clooney’s Casamigos Halloween Party. On the other hand, actress Pitch Perfect denied the rumors and emphasized that she is not engaged to her boyfriend.
