Azumarill is one of the best Pokémon in Tera Raids Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, as it’s one of the hardest tanks for the player to reach the highest level of Tera Raids out of all the Pokémon they can choose, thanks to its abilities and potential mobility. Completing Raids over 5 stars will give you the best rewards, such as Mystic Herbs, Caps, Tera Shards and TMs, but completing them won’t be easy. As such, Azumarill is one of the best choices for trainers looking for an offensive powerhouse capable of handling these challenging raids.
Azumarill is an uncommon candidate for Tera Raids, as opposed to the usual choices as in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Azumarill has never really given Trainers a significant advantage, though not anymore. In Tera Raids, this low base elf/water type is a giant monster due to its high attack and STAB damage. To get the most out of Azumarill, players need a highly specialized build. Best Azumarill builds for Tera Raids in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Azumarill’s best moves are Belly Drum, Play Rough, Liquidation and Help Hand. Also, the trainer should give their little power a scalloped bell so the Pokémon regains some health after each successful move. In addition, Azumarill has the Fairy Tera type, great strength abilities, tough nature, and EV upgrades for attack, defense, and HP, making it a great force for Tera attacks. Belly Drum and Shell Bell hold the key to the true potential of Azumarill’s tank capabilities. Shell Bell restores 1/8 of the damage done by Azumarill with each attack after using Belly Drum, increasing 6 attacks, similar to Terra Raid Perrserker Build in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
Due to being Azumarill’s Fairy Tera type, it would also be ideal for raids against Dragons, Shadows and Warriors considering the STAB damage. Players should also use Belly Drum at the start of a Tera Raid Battle to increase Azumarill’s Attack Stats before using actions like Rough Play or Liquidation. Using the Helping Hand can be a useful support move to support teammates if the fight gets tough. Azumarill has proven to be an excellent Pokémon for completing Tera raids and players should definitely consider using this build for the upcoming Cinderace Raid Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
