According to the young NHS worker, who was gifted the sought-after One4All Fashion Favourites Gift voucher she was surprised to learn that JD Sports were not accepting it as a form or payment – despite their logo clearly being on the card.

Taking to the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group, Hannah explained in her post: ”The lady in store told me they’ve had to turn many people away with the same issue and that the JD logo is not supposed to be on it.”

After visiting the branch based in the Meadowhall shopping centre in Sheffield, Hannah decided to see if other stores experienced the same problem.

Luckily for her and fellow fashionistas, there were no issues with using the card in Primark.

”Please be wary when using this One4All Fashion favourites gift card as JD are not accepting it despite their logo being on the gift card,” she warned in the post, which left hundreds furious.

To make sure you’re not in for a disappointment, it’s best to check out the list of brands where you can spend your money on the voucher.

The list can be found here and includes many well-known shopper favourites, including John Lewis, Zalando, TK Maxx, Boohoo and Nasty Gal to name a few.

According to the company, you don’t have to spend the total value in one go and can use your card multiple times until the balance reaches £0.

To prevent any awkward moments by the till, it is also advised to know your balance before you spend, as the retailer will not be able to find out your balance.

Hundreds of angry Facebook users flocked to comments to share their thoughts, as well as to tag their pals and family to inform them about the unpleasant news.

One said: ”These can be a bit of a nightmare…..I found it easier this year to just get gift cards for their favourite stores.

”For my older grandchildren I bought 2 x JD vouchers 1 x Boohoo and 1 x Shein vouchers.”

Someone else had also had the same issue, writing: ”Had this last year. Kids were refused it from JD.

”Shocking it hasn’t been taken off as they were well aware then.

”Luckily they had money too so we’re able to still buy their stuff.”

A mum chimed in: ”We had this yesterday, my son had 3 of these all 4 one gift cards and wanted to use them all in JD, only 1 was accepted.

”The lady said the others will work online only.”

Another added: ”Check the expiry on these also. My kids got them for Christmas and they run out in February 2024 so it’s not long really.

”Also weirdly Primark accepts the One4all cards but not the love to shop ones.”
