NIRF 2023 Rankings Announced, IIT Madras Holds 1st Place

NIRF Rankings 2023: Minister of Education and External Affairs Rajkumar Ranjan Singh today announced the rankings of the National Institutional Rating Framework (NIRF). IIT Madras has held the #1 spot in the general category for the fifth year in a row and the top engineering institute for the eighth year in a row. Despite having a lower score than last year (86.69 vs 87.59), the institution retained first place.
The top management college is IIM-Ahmedabad, however, three technical colleges are in the top 10 B. In the best university category, IISc Bangalore tops the university rankings, followed by followed by JNU and Jamia Millia Islamia. On the other hand, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Delhi topped the medical institute category, followed by the Institute of Graduate Medical Education and Research in Chandigarh.

Overall ranking of NIRF 2023 compared to 2022
A total of 5,543 unique institutions participated in this year’s overall ranking by category and/or sector for the India Rankings 2023. Overall, 8,686 rating applications were submitted by 5,543 unique institutions. best in different categories/sectors, including 2,478 in the overall category, 1,314 in the mechanical sector. engineering and 2746 in the general department. NIRF Rankings 2023: Delhi Academy dominates NIRF university rankings
This time too, Delhi colleges maintained their dominance in the university rankings with 5 out of the top 10 colleges from Delhi. This time there are three institutes from Delhi in the overall category namely IIT Delhi, AIIMS Delhi and Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). IIT Delhi ranked third, AIIMS Delhi ranked sixth and JNU ranked tenth.

NIRF Engineering Ranking 2023: Top Technical Colleges IIT Madras
As in previous years, this time IIT also dominates the top 10 rankings of the NIRF Rankings 2023 in the technical category. Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-Madras) takes the top spot. Second place went to IIT-Delhi, followed by IIT-Bombay, IIT-Kanpur and IIT-Roorkee.
