NEET 2023: The National Examinations Authority (NTA) will conduct the National Eligibility Test cum University Entrance Examination (NEET UG) today. The entrance medical exam starts at 2pm and ends at 5:20pm. However, entrance to the test center starts as early as 11am, while the NEET UG door closes at 13:30

The exam is administered in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu and Punjabi. According to media reports, 20,87,445 students across India have applied for NEET (UG) 2023 this year.

NTA Guidelines for NEET UG 2023 Dress Code

  • According to the instructions, contestants are not allowed to bring: hairpins, jewelry, bags and pad.
  • Shoes and sandals with thick soles are not allowed.
  • Boys are not allowed to wear kurta pajamas according to the NEET UG dress code.
  • Clothes with large buttons are not allowed.
  • No electronic clock or any gadgets.
  • Female contestants are not allowed to wear tights.
  • Clothing with long sleeves is not allowed. However, in case a contestant arrives in casual clothes, he must report at least 1 hour before the final notice time.

What can candidates bring to the NEET test center?

  • They must carry a ticket with a passport-sized photo affixed to it.
  • An additional passport size photo must be affixed to the arrival form (same as on the application form).
  • They must bring any original and valid government issued photo identification including PAN Card, Driver’s License, Voter’s Card.
  • The original certificate of the disabled person and documents related to the scribe, if any.
  • No candidate is allowed to enter the test center without a valid exam card and identity card
  • People with diabetes can bring food such as sugar tablets or fruit (bananas, apples, oranges) and a clear bottle of water.

Self-declaration form NEET 2023

According to the update, self-declarations must include a postcard-sized photo and fingerprints. Additional photos must be brought to the test center to be affixed to the declaration. The NEET hall ticket with a completed self-declaration form and blank pages must be submitted to the proctor upon completion of the test.
