My Hero Academia Hawks Cosplay Makes His Impossible Wings a Reality

In the world of the popular superhero anime and manga called My Hero AcademiaHawks is a powerful character that’s as well-respected in the hero community as he is well-trained for fighting evil. And now in an epic cosplay of this unique avian hero, Hawks’ giant wings come to life in a way that by all counts should be impossible to pull off!

Brought to My Hero Academia fans’ attention in a recent Youtube interview posted by Nardio, this account specializes in interviewing various cosplayers to help shine a light on their creative processes as well as dig into why they enjoy the cosplaying scene in general and why they choose the characters they cosplay as in the first place. Interviewing a cosplayer at a convention going by the Instagram handle of @crunchcosplay, Nardio catches up with this uber-Hawks fan to give viewers a sneak peek into what it takes to develop a cosplay that hits the nail on the head in terms of its manga/anime accuracy, especially where Hawks’ wings are concerned.

A character that currently sits as the number two hero of the My Hero Academia Universe (Endeavor is still the top spot at the moment), Hawks aka Keigo Takami has a Quirk called Fierce Wings, which sees two large, red wings sprout from his back in breathtaking fashion. By utilizing his wings, Hawks is capable of flight, enhanced speed and sight, and the ability to telekinetically control each individual feather on his back as weapons of attack, defense, or even recon, making Hawks and his iconic wings a pairing to be reckoned with, something that’s even more apparent when brought to life by @crunchcosplay’s highly creative mind.

Talking in the interview about how he has the most pride in his Hawks wings, @crunchcosplay says that they were “preassembled” and then shipped by the cosplay-friendly website of thecrookedfeather.com, but that “everything that’s red,” or all of the feathers, were made by him, as well as the rest of his Hawks pitch-perfect getup. Able to extend his wings to a span of close to, if not over, ten feet at the touch of a button, @crunchcosplay gives My Hero Academia fans a live-action Hawks looks that could only have been better if @crunchcosplay possessed the Quirk to move each feather telekinetically!

Cosplayers always seem to be able to bring fictional characters to life in ways that truly impress, with @crunchcosplay’s Hawks costume and subsequent interview with Nardio being no exception. Hawks is a badass number two hero in My Hero Academia, but as far as this cosplay goes, he’s number one!
