Grace Garnham was actor Scott Garnham’s dream. No wonder, when they walked down the aisle on Aug. 6, 2017 (finally after 2 1/2 years of engagement), the actor was “crying like a baby,” or so he says.
Their wedding took place outdoors in the elegant setting of Richmond, North Yorkshire. The requisite color palette with fresh white and green herbal tones and rose gold accents created a sophisticated and modern impression. Plus, Scott in a blue suit while Grace wore an intricate lace dress with a long-sleeved design was the icing on the cake.
“I loved the white ‘lace tattoo’ and the non-traditional champagne color. She also reminded me of my old prom dresses. It was the fifth ‘wildcard’ dress I tried on in the rehearsal. Which was then discontinued and I got the last one in the UK. Lucky or fated? Grace said.
As for the floral decoration, the halls were filled with pure white roses, hydrangeas and gypsophila combined with lots of greenery and eucalyptus. In addition, the bouquets were tied with billowing ribbons in nude tones.
The flower complemented the space and vice versa.
But it wasn’t Grace’s original flower shop that made the place. In fact, she backed out at the last minute, and locally recommended florist Anna Hunto came to the damsel-in-distress’s aid. “She was amazing and created the entire day around a fresh, botanical theme. She wanted the rose gold accents to pop, so all the flower stands, table numbers, and fixtures were flecked with rose gold and copper,” she recalled Grace.
Now arriving at the ceremony, the lovebirds exchanged vows on the lawn. They then proceeded to the lounge for botanical themed canapés and champagne to toast and then to the canopy.
Finally came the fireworks, plus hairdos, dancing in the basement bar under the main house.
As of 2022, the couple was still going strong and seemed more in love than ever. His secret from her? Date nights, vacations and lots of love!
