The Indian Premier League is a short-form T20 cricket tournament known for its thrilling matches and explosive batting. High totals are not uncommon in IPL. In fact, it’s considered a poor attempt if teams fail to score more than 200 runs on certain bases.
But sometimes teams go a step further and register a grand total that looks like an ODI total. Some of the most popular, Eden Garden Stadium in Kolkata and M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore, are known as batting havens and pitchers’ graveyards. Many teams have even chased goals over 200 runs in such stadiums.

The 2023 Indian Premier League is seeing multiple totals of 200 or more on the scoreboard. Teams even chase huge scores to win matches. However, the highest team score at Tata IPL 2023 belongs to Lucknow Super Giants.
Lucknow Super Giants made history in IPL 2023 after scoring an amazing total of 257 points in 20 rounds only losing 5 times. They almost came close to breaking RCB’s almost untouchable record.
Chennai Super Kings have the second highest IPL score since 2023. CSK played against rival Kolkata Knight Riders at their home Eden Garden and scored the first 235 hits on the scoreboard.
