DWTS (Dancing With The Stars) professional Koko Iwasaki recently revealed her engagement to Kiki Nyemchek, a former SYTYCD (So You Think You Can Dance) contestant and longtime lover. On Sunday, November 27, 2022, Koko took to Instagram to share photos of the proposal and the large engagement ring. On November 26, 2022, Kiki proposed with an oval diamond ring, to which Koko replied “easily yes”.
The couple have been dating for 4 years and met on SYTYCD Season 14 in 2017. Koko finished second, while Kiki finished fourth. They also appeared on the SYTYCD tour in 2017. In 2018, the couple confirmed their relationship. Professional dancer DWTS revealed on Instagram that she is dating Kiki. Both performed on The Masked Dancer in December 2020 and the DWTS Live 2022 tour.

Koko Iwasaki, a DWTS expert, became a professional dancer at the age of 16.
Koine Iwasaki (Koko) is a 25 year old professional dancer from Kanagawa, Japan. He’s been dancing for the past 21 years. According to the website The Dance & Co, she came to the United States with her family at the age of two in hopes of living her best life there. Both the dancer’s father and mother are chefs. She grew up in South Florida and started dancing at the age of three when her parents signed her up for dance classes. She chose dancing as her profession and danced for the rest of her life at the age of 6, and began her professional dance career at the age of 16. The professional dancer affirms that dancing helps her feel alive and gives her meaning.
Koko attended the same dance academy for 18 years and has trained in various forms of dance such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop and tap. She studied all forms of dance except ballroom dancing. However, she says she was drawn to dance when her current fiance taught her dance techniques in Season 14 of SYTYCD. DWTS contestant Koko teamed up with Jason Derulo, Becky G, Nicki Minaj, Tyga, Luis Fonsi and Camila Cabello, among others. Koko has also performed on world tours with Maluma and Luis Fonsi. She even went on Dancing with the Stars dance tours with Maks, Val, and Peta.
Koko finished second in season 14 of SYTYCD behind hip-hop dancer Lex Ishimoto. He is currently on the show Allstar/Mentor. Koko has participated in the Ellen Show, the Billboard Awards, the Grammy Awards and the Dick Clark New Year Special. Koko collaborated with Jersey Shore’s Vinny Guadagnino on DWTS Season 31. Koko currently lives in Los Angeles, California, where she pursues a career as a professional dancer and choreographer. Koko is a nature lover who enjoys the outdoors, but also meditates and cooks.
