Meet Isaiah Lee, the suspect in the attack on Dave Chappelle
On May 3, 2022, comedian Dave Chappelle was attacked by suspect Isaiah Lee while performing on stage in Hollywood. The performance was part of Netflix Is a Joke Fest, a live comedy festival that kicked off on April 28 and runs through May 8. Dave was performing at the Hollywood Bowl in Hollywood, California at the time of the incident.
According to the video, the man, now identified as Isaiah Lee, jumped onto the stage, throwing him to the ground. He was armed with a fake pistol (a replica of a semi-automatic) and a knife that ejected when he fired correctly.

A witness told TMZ that the attacker got up and started running when a swarm of people followed him. He was running around the screen on stage when, as one eyewitness put it, “the mob caught him with it and stomped on him.” A witness also revealed that Jamie Foxx and Busts Rhymes had some licking.
According to a photo posted on social media, he had his arm thrown back, his eye swollen shut, his nose bleeding, his forehead swollen and his shoulder dislocated.
