He spent some time at a nearby family home while waiting for permission to leave.

Some reports suggested that Tottenham were desperately attempting to change the deal at the last minute.

The Lilywhites accepted Bayern Munich’s club-record £104million proposal on Thursday morning following weeks of negotiations.

Kane had wanted his future to be resolved by Sunday – when Tottenham kick off their Premier League campaign against Brentford.

He originally had reservations about leaving his boyhood club, but eventually agreed personal terms – worth £415,000-a-week – with the Bundesliga giants on the eve of the new season.

SunSport understand Bayern believe the transfer will be officially confirmed within 24 hours.

Kane reportedly rejected a huge £400,000-a-week contract offer from Tottenham earlier this summer.

And he is now set to leave as the club’s record goalscorer, with 280 goals in 435 senior appearances.

With Kane set to link up with the likes of Jamal Musiala, Thomas Muller and Leroy Sane at Bayern Munich, Spurs will have to scout his replacement before the transfer window closes at the beginning of September.
