Gaynor Lord’s husband left ‘in bits’ by mum-of-three’s disappearance as family reveals ‘bad sign’

GAYNOR Lord’s distraught husband is “in bits” over her mysterious disappearance, loved ones revealed today.

The 55-year-old vanished on Friday afternoon after she was seen leaving work early – then rushing through the streets of Norwich.

Norwich Constabulary declared her missing after they found her ID inside a handbag – and learned she’d failed to return home from work that evening.

Her white work shirt, yellow tank top, and jewellery were found spread out at different sites across the city centre park, while her olive-coloured coat was found in the water.

Today cops shared the last CCTV image of the mum on St Augustine’s Street, in Norwich.

Now sister-in-law Susan Sinclair, 66, has revealed hubby Clive Lord, 63 – her brother – and the whole family still hoped “she’s found safe and well”.

But she revealed: “Clive is in bits, obviously, but he’s got his two daughters there supporting him.

“Our other brother Simon, like me, is just hoping for good news. We’re all just very shocked.

“There’s nothing we can do at the moment except hope that she’s found safe and well.”

Susan said Gaynor did have religion – but was still puzzled why she would have been at the cathedral.

She said: “I don’t know why she would have been at the cathedral.

“It was sort of the right direction towards home, rather than the park which is in the opposite direction.  She has a religion but she’s not particularly religious.

It comes as…

“The worrying bit is that she’s discarded some clothing, apart from her phone and the jewellery. That’s a bad sign – especially in the cold and after all this time.”

Susan, of Harrogate, North Yorkshire, added: “Her disappearance is just totally out of character.”

Police yesterday released CCTV of the last time she was seen – and asked witnesses to come forward with any more information.

They published an image of Gaynor smiling ear-to-ear as she left her workplace – Bullards Gin, at Jarrold’s department store.

Then, in a CCTV clip, the mum can be seen running along the pavement with her coat in hand.

TIMELINE OF GAYNOR’S MOVEMENTS

2.44pm – Gaynor is working at the Bullards Gin counter in the basement at Jarrold department store – her clothing is clearly visible

2.45-2.46pm – She leaves the store via the loading bay on Bedford Street

2.47pm – Walks onto London Street past the Cosy Club

2.48pm – Gaynor makes her way onto Queens Street and walks toward the Cathedral

3.22pm – Gaynor is seen on The Close at the cathedral entrance – shortly before exiting through the archway she puts her coat on

3.23pm – She is seen to walk away from the cathedral on Queens Street – here you can see a clear image of the coat she was wearing

3.49pm – This is the last sighting of Gaynor on CCTV near the Playhouse on St George’s Street

3.53pm – Walks along St Crispins Road towards Pitt Street

4.01pm – Gaynor walks up St Augustines Street – her final movements captured in CCTV before going missing

She seems to be in a hurry, rushing to cross the road.

The mum seems to spend 30 minutes at the cathedral before she is spotted on CCTV again.

She then makes her way along the street, putting her coat on as she walks.

She is last snapped on CCTV at 4.01pm.

It is now thought the mum may have met someone at the cathedral before she vanished.

Police are also said to be “linking in” with the force who worked on the disappearance of Nicola Bulley.
