D’Andra Simmons and Mama Dee sit down together in this exclusive clip from tonight’s all-new episode of The Real Housewives of Dallas, which airs on March 23, following their altercation at Tiffany Moon’s birthday party. If you missed last week’s episode, Mama Dee proposed that D’Andra use her stepfather’s last name in order to succeed in life. This led to a fight between the mother and daughter.
D’Andra and her mother talk about their family turmoil and she says, “So, I’m sure that when my father died and then the wills and all that were, you know, brought up that because I had changed my name that was one of the reasons that, I’m guessing, they felt entitled to that estate.”
The Bravo celebrity admits she still has concerns about this situation as she goes on. She continues in a confessional, “I’ve always felt a little guilty for altering my name. I frequently consider how much more harm might have been done to the family if I hadn’t done it. Will there be a second will? Would anything differ?
Although it has been years, D’Andra acknowledges that it is “still very hard for everyone.” This explains why D’Andra was so upset by Mama Dee’s remark.
“After the party the other night, I think that you were wrong in a lot of things and I think that I didn’t understand,” Mama Dee says. “I do want to get to know you. I believed in my heart that everything we’ve been through over the past two years has already happened.
Mama Dee stated that she believed they had “finally finished with all this.” She therefore did not anticipate “another hiccup in the road.” I’m sick of hiccups, D’Andra, she continues. The desire of Mama Dee to repair the relationship with her daughter is still evident.
