CUET UG Results 2023 Normalize Results
Standardization of CUET UG 2023 results: The national examination body announced the results of the Joint University Entrance Examination (CUET) UG 2023 on July 15, 2023. Head of UGC, prof. Jagadesh Kumar, after declaring the results, explained the normalization process of the CUET UG sign. Student results are assessed using the percentile system, and the scores in the results table are the normalized results. As CUET exams are conducted over a month, students are confused as to how the NTA will compare student performance on a common scale since exams for a subject are conducted on different days together.
The head of UGC, while clarifying the assessment, stated that it must be ensured that admissions are made on the basis of a direct comparison of student achievement. He further explained that in the case of CUET entry, since the exams are held on different days and in multiple sessions for the same subject, there are multiple percentiles for each group of students, which is why why is it necessary to normalize the results?
Percentage system – explanation
In the percentile system, one percentile is calculated for each student. The total score is calculated using the candidate’s raw score compared to the raw scores of others in the same session. The same thing was then repeated for each session over several days for the same topic.
Percentages were equalized and converted to normalized scores, and sessions with fewer students were merged with the group of blogger sessions. The normalized scores of campaign participants obtained using the percentile system over different sessions can be used in the same way as the raw scores of a regular test in a single session.
