After his late friend Caroline became “gravely ill” with lung cancer in 2013, the 58-year-old actor took over Caroline’s vocal responsibilities on Gogglebox. Craig is incredibly grateful that he still works at Gogglebox since it allows him to reconnect with his friend Caroline after her untimely death in 2016.
He said: “Caroline requested if I would narrate ‘Gogglebox’ when she wasn’t doing well in November 2013, when she was very ill with cancer. Obviously, I agreed.
“I wanted to treat her right and the program with respect at that difficult moment. Caroline is back with me, so entering the studio is a beautiful little moment.
In an interview with Radio Times, he stated, “I know Caroline will be watching ‘Gogglebox’ in heaven with 20 Bensons and a bottle of Champagne.”
Craig is another major fan of the show, and he admits that his friends find it “weird” that he still enjoys watching the program as a fan despite though he spends time watching the video to practice narrating the show.

Craig, who is a native of Stockport, was born in 1960. Since the year 2000, he has been married to Stephanie Davies, with whom he shares two children: Harry Cash and Billy Cash.
Of course, everyone is familiar with Craig from The Royle Family and, more recently, Gogglebox, but throughout the years, he has also contributed to a countless number of comedies and TV sitcoms, such as Early Doors, Sunshine, and The Fast Show, to mention a few.
