Cassidy Clark is a huge Survivor fan. She started watching the series at the age of four and never missed a single season or episode. “I grew and evolved with Survivor as Survivor grew and changed with me. This is something I wanted to do since I was a kid,” she added.
So now that Cassidy is a part of Survivor season 43, the experience is “surreal” for her. The pleasure of holding, nurturing and manifesting a 22-year-old dream definitely hides pure magic. But being part of the new age, Cassidy was a bit unhappy with “the risks associated with it all.”
In the past, contestants could rely on finding immunity idols and the like to save themselves in the game. But now, if you find an idol, it is a “cautionary lead”.
“You lose your voice, which is so crucial, especially early game, and especially in a smaller tribe,” Cassidy explained.
As for her game plan, Cassidy was looking for an alliance with someone she could connect with deeply. She wanted someone who didn’t make hasty decisions and wasn’t just trying to do a million things at once and talk to a million people. Instead, someone who can step back, take calculated risks, and think things through.

Cassidy Clark was born to parents Rose Clark and an anonymous father.
Unfortunately, her parents divorced when she was a child.
Before the divorce, Cassidy, her brothers, mom and dad watched Survivor together. “That was really the most special memory for me, being together as a family watching Survivor. The series really has those values of family and integrity,” she recalled.
Even after the divorce, Cassidy was raised by a single mother and because of that, she considers her mother to be her hero. “She faced so much adversity and she never let it break her spirits,” the contestant praised her mother. And naturally, when Cassidy’s mother saw this, she burst into tears.
Speaking in detail about Cassidy’s mother, Rose Clark, she was a drunk who tried to drink herself to death for three years. In 2020, she “decided to live again” and, with a little help, she has been sober for two years.
