Optical illusions enthusiast Dean Jackson, known as @beatonthebeeb on TikTok, shared a video on the platform that is confusing viewers.
According to his TikTok bio, Jackson uses his social presence to entertain audiences with “alluring, fun, confusing junk.”
The brain teasing video is meant to be a mental exercise that tests the viewer’s observation skills.
There are twenty changes over the course of the 54-second video, and it’s up to Jackson’s online audience to figure them out in just a few seconds.
It begins with Jackson positioned in the bottom right corner of the video with green screen artwork at the top of the video behind him.
Jackson then asks viewers to pay close attention to the image above his head because “something very interesting is going on.”
Viewers have about twenty seconds to figure out what the subtle changes are.
“I tested this on dozens of people today and so far none of them have seen it!” he says he as the countdown continues. “And they were all completely in awe when I showed them what they had been missing.”
He says that more than twenty things have changed in the image since the beginning of the video.

At the end of the video, Jackson says that the ceiling, floor, and all the furniture have been adjusted to how they were at the beginning of the TikTok optical illusion.
While viewers are still scratching their heads, he reveals an answer.
“As a quick example, the chair on the right in the picture, which is now bright red, was pale blue to begin with,” he says.
Although he has uncovered one secret, there are many others ready to be revealed.
The gradual changes are highlighted at the end of the video as Jackson returns to the original photo for comparison.
The optical illusion confused many people, and the comments section reflected that thought process.
“The circular black and white spiral kept distracting my attention so I didn’t pay attention to all the changes. Really cool!” commented one viewer.
“I saw two things change and I was proud, so you said that 20 things changed,” added another.
“I noticed that there were changes in certain places, but I couldn’t tell you what changed… I totally missed the ceiling!!” wrote a user.
