Birgit Hamer is a former German model, actress and activist. She is the sister of Dirk Hamer, who was shot dead in 1978. Birgit was a vocal critic of Vittorio Emanuele di Savoia, who was suspected of killing her brother.
Birgit Hamer was born in 1957 in Germany. She started her modeling career at a young age and won the title of Miss Germany in 1976. She later appeared in a number of films, including the Italian film Amo non amo (1979).
In 1978, Birgit’s brother Dirk was shot dead on a boat off Corsica. Vittorio Emanuele di Savoia, a former heir to the Italian throne, was on board at the time of the shooting. Although di Savoia was never charged with Dirk’s murder, Birgit always believed he was responsible.
