American journalist Robin Roberts announced his intention to marry his longtime girlfriend Amber Laign this year. On Good Morning America on January 2, the 62-year-old star revealed to inspirational speaker Gabrielle Bernste that she was “hesitating” because she had not announced the good news.
She stated:
“I decided to get married. We’re getting married this year.”
She added that the couple had previously postponed their wedding because Laign felt unwell after being diagnosed with breast cancer.
She stated:
“It’s something that we talked about but postponed because she was sick, but… it’s okay with that and that new chapter.”

Amber Laign is a massage therapist and co-founder of Plant Juice Oils, a line of women’s wellness products. Robin Roberts and Amber have two homes: the landlord’s lavish Manhattan apartment near her GMA studio, and the Connecticut estate where they live when Roberts isn’t filming the show.
