Emmy Medders recently opened up about her relationship with Chase Chrisley. On Wednesday, December 27, 2022, the ex appeared on the future sister-in-law’s Unlocking podcast, Savannah Chrisley. She discussed her relationship with Chrisley Knows Best Actor Chase and what led to their engagement in October 2022. Chase proposed to Emmy on October 5, 2022 at First Horizon Baseball Stadium in Tennessee. To make things even more memorable, he rented a 12,000-seat stadium, in which 175,000 rose petals were strewn in a heart shape around the pitch. Emmy told PEOPLE at the time that she was surprised and “had no idea this was happening.”
Emmy told Savannah on the podcast:
“We started talking right before COVID arrived. It was going on and on, then we did really well, then we broke up seriously and didn’t communicate for about two months, despite the fact that more than two weeks. It seems to me two months.”
Emmy also mentioned that their relationship has been great ever since they got back together, after which Chase proposed.

Two soon-to-be sisters talk about their friendship on the Unlocking podcast. Savannah says she and Emmy didn’t always have a good relationship because they had a hard time at the beginning of the relationship. The Chrisley Knows Best star said the two women had a heated argument on the set of Growing Up Chrisley in Miami, which was cut from the final show.
Savannah said,
“That doesn’t mean Emmy and I have a great relationship.”
Emmy responded as follows:
“But there is no enmity. I realize we are not sisters yet, but there will certainly be a family feud.”
While the sisters admit it wasn’t their only fight, both insist Chase was at the center of it all.

The couple told People in October 2022 that they haven’t started planning their wedding yet but have decided on a destination, which will be Charleston. Todd and Julie Chrisley were sentenced to prison in November 2022 for a number of financial crimes so their wedding day may not be as happy as the day of the proposal.
