2021 First Timers Guide: Syrcus Tower

Syrcus Tower is the second raid in the A Realm Tower Reincarnation Alliance raid series. This is, in my opinion, the fastest and easiest of the three when synced, meaning you’ll see a lot of high level players gearing it up during certain steps of the Shadowbringers Resistance Weapon quest their.

For new players looking to de-stress, the old tutorials they read or watch will contain a lot of irrelevant information, as experienced players will safely ignore specific combat tactics or skip through boss fights with high DPS.

My goal in writing this series of guides is to give you the most relevant information on how content is currently playing, as well as tips to help you continue to make a meaningful contribution to the success of your attacks. . For each section, some notes tell you everything you need to know about playing the encounter as your chosen character. Below, I’ll add any other notes about the battle.

Dungeon Mob – Clear ascending ladder

tank

– Pick up some mobs and group them together to deal AoE damage.

doctor

– Hoang Long will deal some raid damage, and watch out for DPS with aggro or cleave damage.

damage per second

– Avoid standing in front of Hoang Long’s slash.

Boss Battle – Sira

– Purple Lightning Lanyard should be tied to the nearest pole to avoid being attacked. There are up to three columns per column, indicated by colored rings around them.

– The blue ribbon will freeze you. Make sure you’re not standing in a puddle, or you’ll freeze players around you as well.

– The Red Fire Tether should be dragged over any frozen players to free them and form a puddle.

– During Scylla ancient flares use, you can stand in a puddle to reduce its damage (not really necessary if you’re syncing horizontally).

tank

– The main tank sometimes has an unmarked crack.

doctor

– Party members may be out of your team’s healing range as they move to distant turrets and avoid different AoEs.

– Follow the list of frozen teammates in the party and throw extra healing or shields.

damage per second

– Scylla has a melee AoE where you can avoid attacks at maximum melee range while still attacking.

The fight has a lot of mechanics that are completely ignored right now. The only mechanism you need to learn is tying the ball. Scylla is usually in ancient flares throw.

Dungeon Mob – Clear Braid

– After killing the first group of monsters, a green dragon will land in the center, repelling nearby players.

tank

– After the green dragon lands, watch out for Doga and Unei clones spawning and rampaging at the end of the line.

doctor

– The green dragon is slightly poisonous.

damage per second

– Beautiful Doga clones and Unei clones added foot sweeps to minimize damage while waiting for the tanks to attack.

Boss Fight – Gracia Laborras

– Ignore the watchmaker when it appears. Don’t stand in the electric bubbles around them, or you will freeze.

Here’s another boss where you won’t see many primitive mechanics. The addition of Clockwork Wright can be completely ignored, as the boss dies very quickly. Standing in a circle around add will stall you, so if someone appears next to you, make sure to move away.

Dungeon Mob – Clean up the Golden Temple

– The first mob dies quickly, then the red dragon will land and spawn two more mobs.

– Large green markers on players indicate Red Dragon will dive to bomb them to deal AoE damage in a row.

Boss Fight – Amon

– Mob Slime will appear at the edge and should be killed as soon as possible.

– Purple Tether Orbs should be dragged into additional Kum Kum to shrink them.

– If you have a bomb debuff on you, stay away from other players until it disappears or is disarmed.

– If turning into a frog, stay away from basil snake mobs when other players kill them.

– Break vision by hiding behind blocks of ice bow throw.

tank

– The main tank has Amon facing north because he has a split attack.

– Offtanks Pick up the Kum Kum mobs and kill them.

– Amon has a simple AoE that you need to dodge.

doctor

– If slimes are added to the boss, the raid can be muted, so help kill them and maybe create a shield or heal the swarm. oGCDs like Benediction, Lustrate and Essential Dignity can still be used while silent.

– Track your team’s debug effects and use Azuna to remove bomb effects on party members.

damage per second

– You can stun slime creatures with a leg sweep or slow them down with a leg rub to give you more time to kill them.

– Amon has a simple AoE that you need to dodge.

– Bards can use Warden’s Hymn to help remove the bomb effect on the player.

When you first go through it, the battle can seem a bit intense, but it happens very quickly. Kill the slimes before they reach Amon, or the party will suffer a nasty debuff (silence or pacify). Players with purple orbs should try to put them into the Kum Kum summoner spell to weaken it, otherwise it will weaken the player on contact.

Bomb debugging can be especially surprising since you may not even notice when it lands on you. Technically the frog can attack with fire AoE, but it will damage allies (and break ice blocks), so it’s safest to stay away from the snake and wait for the effect to disappear. image disappears.

Boss Fight – Xande

– When yellow earth circles appear, have one player in each circle to avoid raid damage.

– If marked purple AoE, share damage with other players.

– Purple AoE leaves a floating platform that you can stand on for shelter Ancient Quaga throw.

tank

– Xande has instant AoE, you need to exit.

doctor

– If the player doesn’t move to the hoverpad, you can save them to the hoverpad.

damage per second

– Long range players should be ready to run away from the boss yellow circle.

– There is a melee AoE melee DPS that needs to be moved out.

The most common cause of death in this fight is not standing on the touchpad in combat Ancient Quaga The attacks deal really high damage. Just go to the purple AoE and stay there. After you return to the ground, there will be some large circle AoEs. Generally easy to find.

As you’ll see when most players sync down, this is actually a pretty simple raid. Only about 5 mechanics need to know during the task, the rest is the standard “not to be outdone”. You will get the hang of it after a few runs and you will continue to see it in roulette until the time runs out.
