The country star has yet to make a public statement of her own, however, all photos of her with King have been deleted from her Instagram account.

Additionally, her latest post promoting her new collaboration song with Chris Stapleton titled, “We Don’t Fight Anymore,” was paired with a caption that revealed the track was inspired by some of the more difficult components of a relationship.

“This song embodies a place that I think, if we are honest with ourselves, we’ve all felt at some point in a relationship,” she wrote. “The distance that feels heartbreaking, yet you’re also indifferent. I’ve always been a writer who never wanted to shy away from the ‘uncomfortable’ moments in all of our lives, and this song feels too important not to share. @chrisstapleton, you made my dreams come true by lending your incredible talents to this song. ‘We Don’t Fight Anymore’ available everywhere June 16th.”

Carly Pearce and Riley King dated for two years. The pair were most recently seen enjoying a trip to Napa Valley in May. Pearce shared a few moments from their romantic getaway on social media and captioned the post, “A dreamy few days with my favorite guy ♥️🍷.”

Prior to this wine country vacation, the GRAMMY-winning singer/songwriter boasted about the Montana native’s incredible support while speaking with E! News at the 2023 CMT Music Awards.

“This is all he wants for me to do,” Pearce explained of her boyfriend. “I think it’s really hard to find a supportive significant other when you live this crazy life, and he does it like a champ.”

During a recent concert, Pearce delivered an uplifting message to fans and admitted that it was also a reminder to herself.

“What has been so beautiful is, I’ve got to play three shows, ending this one tonight with y’all and it just has made everything feel like everything is gonna be okay. Because no matter what happens in your life, there’s a new season,” she shared from the stage. “And not to get weird, I’m telling myself this too. I just think God’s got you no matter where you are, so if you need to be reminded of that tonight, let me do it.”

The upcoming release with the fellow Kentucky native serves as the start of a fresh musical chapter for Pearce. “We Don’t Fight Anymore” will be available everywhere on June 16 and will officially impact country radio on June 20. The tune was co-written by Pearce alongside Shane McAnally and Pete Good and produced by McAnally, Josh Osborne, and Pearce.

“I’ve always wanted to write music that makes people feel something – whether that is feeling seen, less alone, happy or even uncomfortable. ‘We Don’t Fight Anymore’ felt like I was writing one of those stories that, whether or not we want to include it in our social media highlight reel, we’ve either been there or are living there right now,” Pearce shared in a statement. “Having Chris Stapleton join me on this song was a dream come true and he unlocked an element to the story that I didn’t even know it needed.”
