Over the course of the season, Lynsey faced a series of logistical nightmares, including food challenges, extreme supply chain issues, and countless exotic wildlife encounters that threatened to derail her plans. “There is nothing more challenging than creating beauty when Mother Nature seems to want to catch you with every move you make,” Grant said. “I was born here in Zambia, this is where our safari lodges are and this is where we raise our family, so everything is on the line. And that’s survival of the fittest.”

In the opening episode, Lynsey and her husband began renovating dilapidated villas at Camp Old Mondoro, just as the region’s rainy season was beginning. They then drew up layout plans to update the reed villas, renovate the en-suite bathrooms, and install a unique outdoor bathroom. Eventually, the couple headed to its sister property, Chiawa, to make plans for their lavish renovation.
