Jurassic World Dominion sees the cast of original Jurassic Park movies reunite and join forces with the characters that fans have grown to love in the recent Jurassic World, bringing an end to the six-film story in a roar-worthy fashion.
Despite the star-studded cast, however, it’s newcomer Isabella Sermon who steals the show as Maisie Lockwood as she learns more about her place in the dinosaur-inhabited world.

Jurassic World Dominion release date and plot preview
After several lengthy delays, Jurassic World Dominion finally stomped onto cinema screens in the US and UK on Friday, June 10th, 2022.
Set four years after the events of Fallen Kingdom and the destruction of Isla Nublar, Dominion finds humanity living alongside dinosaurs in a truly Jurassic world where illegal dinosaur trading runs rampant in the criminal underworld.
The fragile balance between humans and dinosaurs is threatened even further when the shady dealings of the company Biosyn comes to the attention of Owen, Claire and returning Jurassic Park veterans Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler and Ian Malcolm.
Who is Maisie Lockwood in Jurassic World? [spoilers]
Maisie Lockwood was introduced in 2018’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and in Dominion, she is the adoptive daughter of Owen Grady and Claire Dearing.
When we first met the character, we were led to believe that she was the granddaughter of Sir Benjamin Lockwood, John Hammond’s business partner in co-founding InGen, the company behind the original Jurassic Park.
However, the events of Fallen Kingdom revealed that Maisie was actually a clone of Benjamin’s daughter, Charlotte.
While it was initially suggested that Benjamin cloned his own daughter after her death, Dominion reveals that Charlotte created Maisie herself as she longed to have a child of her own but died soon after thanks to a genetic disorder she was carrying, leaving Maisie curious about her origins.
Meet actress Isabella Sermon
Maisie Lockwood is played by British actress Isabella Sermon.
Born on July 8th, 2006, Isabella Sermon is just 15 years of age at the time of Jurassic World Dominion’s release and is currently sitting her GCSE exams at school.
In an interview with ReVamp, the newcomer explained that she became interested in acting after playing James in a school production of Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach.
“I really enjoyed it,” Isabella said. “I think that was one of the moments which made me realize that I actually enjoyed acting.”
Isabella made her professional acting debut in 2018’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom which was followed by her reprising the role in Dominion. The actress has yet to appear in any other roles but with two Jurassic World films on her CV, she almost certainly has a promising career ahead of her.
Like many actors in the modern industry, Isabella is active on social media, most notably on Instagram where she has posted a host of behind-the-scenes images from her time with the cast of Jurassic World Dominion.
