It’s sad to see many people’s lives cut short. On the 9th of November, 2016, rapper MuWop lost his first daughter Skylah Malaya White.

The cause of her death hasn’t been revealed yet. It has been over seven years since the harrowing incident and the rapper is yet to recover fully from the unfortunate loss.

Speculations over Skylah’s Death

The beautiful soul was born on February 2, 2016. However, the little one untimely passed away just after nine months. It is not sure if it was gun violence or natural causes that took her life.

Well, there are comments on Reddit though, which state that she got injured when her mom and her mom’s boyfriend were shot in the car. Unfortunately, it is not known what kind of injuries she sustained besides the fact she died some days later.

Before being jailed, the rapper often posted about how he missed her. In an emotional post, he stated that Skylah was not only his daughter but also his best friend and his little sister.

He professed how much he missed seeing her smile when he woke up. He missed buying her everything she wanted and had promised that he wouldn’t let anyone touch her.

MuWop often posted on her death anniversary, stating the pain still felt the same every time he thought of her.

Since MuWop also refers to Skylah as his sister and him as her big brother, there is general confusion among fans if they were father-daughter or brother-sister.

Proud Father of Another Daughter Avah

The bereaved father was blessed with another daughter, Avah. She was born on September 18, 2018. Just like Skylah, MuWop has often mentioned her as his daughter as well as his little sister.

On Avah’s third birthday, MuWop wished her saying he would spend his last just to make her smile.

Little Avah is also active on Instagram, which is quite uncommon for a kid. She has got over 1K followers with 97 posts. It is likely that one of her parents runs the account for her.

However, there is no information on who MuWop’s girlfriend or baby mama is.

Detained at Jerome Combs Detention Center

MuWop, whose real name is Marcus Smart, was arrested in October 2021. He and four others were held captive on the accusations of killing FBG Duck.

The Chicago rapper was shot in a broad day brazen attack at East Oak Street’s first block. Carlton Weekly, the deceased rapper’s real name, was pronounced dead when taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

Besides Weekly, his girlfriend was also shot twice as she was waiting in a parked car, and a man aged 36 was hit in the leg and back. Fortunately, they both survived.

Charles ‘C Murda’ Liggins, Christopher ‘C Thang’ Thomas, Tacarlos ‘Los’ Offerd, and Kenneth ‘Kenny’ Roberson were the other individuals arrested for murder in aid of racketeering.

They appeared at the Dirksen US Courthouse via telephone and entered not-guilty pleas.

Well, if they are convicted of the alleged crime, then the accused will face life in prison at the minimum, and the prosecutors can even seek the death penalty.

When asked what his profession was, MuWop stated that he works as a janitor in a church.

In March, the jailed rapper updated his fans that he had a couple of months left for trial. And his main goal wasn’t to drop songs but to get back home and be with his family.
